Not Just Recycled Thoughts

The Green Tea is your guide to sustainable finance and emerging environmental, social, and governance themes. We believe that a sustainable future can only be achieved by collaboration at the individual, institutional, and national level. Over the last five years, we have seen capital markets mechanisms putting pressure on companies and nations to invest not only in reducing their environmental footprint, but also in developing their human capital and acting as a good steward within the community. Our intention is to simplify complex regulatory, capital markets, and personal investing trends. On occasion, we will be bringing in guest writers who bring a variety of interesting perspectives. Whether you’re new to finance or a capital markets veteran, we hope the ideas we share will be informative in developing your own perspective or strategy around sustainable finance.

Why write?

We (Mel & Addy) are two Millennial finance professionals. Since joining the workforce almost 5 years ago (woof), we’ve both fielded a variety of questions from our peers on sustainable finance, capital markets, and policy. We’ve immersed ourselves in ESG for the last half a decade and have networked with sustainability leaders across public and private capital markets, which has allowed us to gain some great perspectives and relay them back to our various social and professional circles. Given the explosion of ESG investing over the last year, we thought it might be fun to share what we’ve learned.

What’s the vibe?

On a bi-weekly basis, we will be publishing short blog posts that synthesize relevant environmental, social, and governance trends.

By subscribing (don’t worry, it’s free!), you will receive updates delivered to your inbox, plus hot tea when it spills.
